Oak & Shield started in 2014 by owning quality, affordable housing that generated consistent returns for its investors and enriched communities. As we have grown our portfolio and shifted focus, these goals have remained at the core of who we are and why we exist.

Principals
Eric Fiedler
Eric has overseen the transactions and management of over $39 million in real estate from acquisition through to disposition including industrial, multifamily, retail, and senior housing. He owned Vivant Senior Living, a portfolio of residential assisted living facilities located in Maitland, Florida, which was sold in 2023. Eric serves on the City of Altamonte Springs Police Officers Pension Plan Board. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, and he is a Florida Assisted Living Administrator.
Taylor Paris
Taylor has worked in real estate and finance for more than 13 years. He has expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and project management. Previously, Taylor owned Vivant Senior Living, a portfolio of residential assisted living facilities located in Maitland, Florida, which was sold in 2023. In addition to co-founding Oak & Shield, Taylor worked at Florida Hospital in finance. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Taylor is a Florida Assisted Living Administrator and Realtor.
